Abide N Me is a Scripture reading application. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account information: your chosen display name, username, and securely stored password credentials. An email address is not required.
- Profile information: a display name and profile picture if you choose to provide one.
- App activity: reading progress, reading plans, group membership, bookmarks, highlights, private notes, and audio progress created through the service.
- Security and technical information: limited request, device, and network information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
We use your information to create and secure your account, let you sign in, save and sync your activity, provide group features, respond to support requests, and maintain the safety and reliability of Abide N Me.
You can use the app without giving us an email address. We do not sell your personal information.
When information is shared
Information may be processed by service providers that help us host, secure, and operate Abide N Me. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or others. Group members may see the profile name, profile picture, group membership, and group reading progress that the app presents within their shared group. Private notes, bookmarks, and highlights are not shared with other group members.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide and secure the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may update your display name and profile picture from your account. To ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, email us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children’s privacy
Abide N Me is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
